Masters in spray paint application

Bring your kitchen back to life with a kitchen respray

Don't buy a new kitchen, spray it...

Cost Savings

Respraying your kitchen is significantly cheaper than buying new units, allowing you to achieve a fresh, modern look without the hefty price tag.

Quick and Convenient

Respraying is a faster and less disruptive process, meaning you can enjoy your revamped kitchen in a fraction of the time it would take for a complete replacement.

Eco-Friendly

By choosing to respray, you reduce waste and environmental impact, as it extends the life of your existing cabinets instead of contributing to landfill with discarded units.

Get ready to respray your kitchen with us. Recently rebranded, we at The Spray Lab boast 5-star reviews and an impressive catalogue of beautifully completed kitchen resprays all located within the West Midlands and surrounding counties.

What is a kitchen respray?

A kitchen respray is the process of bringing a real wood, laminated, veneered or wrapped kitchen to an excellent spray painted finish – like how a brand new kitchen comes straight out of the showroom. We can guarantee the life of your newly resprayed kitchen for at least 5 years, however a well-looked after kitchen should last a lifetime.

If you’re in the market for giving your kitchen a new lease of life and don’t want to go through the lengthy and costly process of replacing – then a kitchen respray is the perfect solution for you. You may also choose to respray your kitchen if:

  • Replacing your kitchen is too expensive for you right now.
  • Your kitchen is in great condition and you don’t want to throw it away – just brighten it up.
  • You want to increase the value of your home before you sell.
  • You’re a landlord looking to refurbish a kitchen for new tenants.

Questions & Answers

Yes! Absolutely. A delaminating kitchen can be a daunting thing and is a snowball for problems. An example of this is that when the coating has delaminated, it exposes the wood underneath to moisture which can cause swelling – making it look even worse!

The Spray Lab strips the existing wrap and preps/paints the exposed MDF underneath. Spraying on both sides of the surface ensures a watertight seal that no moisture can penetrate. The result of a properly sprayed kitchen means that your kitchen can never delaminate or swell again.

Having your kitchen sprayed should have no effect on other work you may have going on, providing that the kitchen is thoughtfully acknowledged and protected. In short, it makes no difference to us what order you carry out each project within your kitchen.

Providing that the paint you have initially chosen hasn’t been ordered, we are happy to change the colour for you. If the paint has been ordered, we are happy to change the colour providing that you cover the cost of the material. If the paint has been ordered and we have already sprayed the initial colour on to your kitchen, we may need to charge you for the extra time involved changing it.

Yes, we can colour match most brands of paint, even without a sample! On rare occasions where our supplier doesn’t have that colour on file, we can still get it matched with a sample.

There are many reasons why we don’t spray in our customers’ homes (unless absolutely necessary).

  1. It is a very messy process
  2. It means you won’t be able to use your kitchen for a few days
  3. Changes in weather means drying times of the paint can last a lot longer than usual, increasing the project timeline
  4. It is wasteful and not very economical in regards to the products we would need to mask your kitchen (lots of plastic!)
  5. Our lab is specifically designed and carefully built for the exact purpose of spray painting your kitchen in the particular product we use. In our lab, we can control temperature and humidity and therefore provide the best results for our customers.

There is a very slight difference in finish between hand painting and spraying. When we hand paint, we use rollers specifically designed for smooth surfaces which leave a near spray-like finish. We wouldn’t hand finish the parts of the kitchen we have taken away, as they will be the focal point of your kitchen. But for front leading edges of carcasses and small end panels, we deem it acceptable to professionally hand finish to make the experience more comfortable and manageable for our customers. We will have samples of our hand finished work, compared to our spray finishes for you to take a look at, should you wish to book in for a home consultation.

The parts of the kitchen we paint are as follows:

  1. Kitchen unit doors (front and back)
  2. Kitchen drawer frontals (front and back)
  3. Plinths
  4. Pelmets
  5. Cornice
  6. Cooker hood (wooden)
  7. End panels
  8. Side panels
  9. Interiors of glazed cabinets
  10. Front leading edges of the carcass (visible between doors)

This means that when the doors are closed, your entire kitchen will be flush in colour, leaving behind no trace of the previous surface. The insides of the regular cabinets we never recommend painting due to the high contact and traffic they encounter.

We price individually for each kitchen, depending on the size and complexity of it. Prices with us start from £1750.
